Customization
Rename Modules
You can rename ClosePlan modules to better align with your organization's naming preferences or working language.
Module renaming requires Translation Workbench to be enabled with English (en_US) language.
In case you are using separate tabs for each ClosePlan module in Lightning Page (Lightning) or Sections in Page Layout (Classic), make sure you update tab/section labels as well.
Labels are saved asynchronously. It can take time until changes are applied due to caching.
How to Rename:
Click Rename Modules.
In the modal window, update the module names as needed and click Save Changes to apply the updates.
Document Export Options
Customize the appearance of exported PDFs to align with your organization's branding and preferences.
Enable or disable Live Preview for Microsoft Document Export.

Activity Options
These settings define the default Task Record Types used when users create Tasks within ClosePlan, helping streamline the task creation process by skipping manual selection of Record Types.
How to Configure:
Click Activity Options.
In the modal window, adjust the settings as needed and Save Changes.
Default Task Record Type
Sets a global preferred Record Type for all Tasks created from ClosePlan. Users will no longer be prompted to select a Record Type, as long as they have access to the specified type (based on their Profile settings). If not, this setting is ignored.Default Account Plan Task Record Type
Overrides the Global Task Record Type specifically for Tasks created in the Account Plan module. If no value is set, the global Record Type will apply.Default Opportunity ClosePlan Task Record Type
Overrides the Global Task Record Type for Tasks created in the Opportunity Plan module. If no value is set, the global Record Type will apply.
Retrieve Page Layout Configuration
Use this option to sync and store available Task Page Layouts from your Salesforce organization.
This is especially important if:
Multiple Task Page Layouts are deployed
The default Task Page Layout has been renamed
Clicking Retrieve Page Layout Configuration ensures proper functionality by updating the layout references.
Task Record Type access is driven by Profiles. Please ensure that the Profiles that need access to the chosen Task Record Type are assigned access.
Search Options
This setting allows users to search for Opportunities using custom, preconfigured fields.
You can select fields from the Opportunity object that will be used during search operations—for example, in Account Planning, when cloning ClosePlans, or in the ClosePlan Standalone app.
Only Text, Number, and Picklist fields are supported. Searching by Opportunity ID is also available.
How to Configure:
Click Search Options
Select up to 5 fields from the Available list and move them to the Selected list > Save Changes.
User Management
If this option is enabled, the Closeplan User checkbox will be marked in the User record if the application license is assigned.
Among other things, this field can be used for reporting purposes or in the Lightning Page Builder tool logic to hide Closeplan tabs and components from users who do not have a license.
Hide tabs and tools on Opportunity and Account Pages
Go to any Account or Opportunity page layout that displays the ClosePlan tabs (In this example we will use an Opportunity Page)
Click on the Gear Icon in the top right of the Salesforce page and select Edit Page
Click on one of the ClosePlan tabs
Click on the component
On the right side, click on + Add Filter button > Advanced > Field: User > CPEnabled > Done > Save
Repeat this process for all ClosePlan tabs and the Opportunity Widget on Opportunity pages as needed
Repeat this process for all ClosePlan tabs on Account Pages as needed.
NOTE: After enabling this feature, you need to redistribute permissions in the ClosePlan User Manager to update the current state.
Redistribute Permissions from the User Manager
See the Layout & Navigation Overview section from User Manager
Go to ClosePlan Admin tab > User Manager > Click on Redistribute Permissions
Salesforce will send an email when the redistribution is completed.
Result: After permissions are redistributed, only Users with a ClosePlan License will see the tabs and components, those who do not have a ClosePlan License will not.
