Add Opportunity Playbook Last Modified (Days) to the Opportunity Header
Inspired by a Client’s idea
This field shows how many days have passed since a ClosePlan Opportunity Playbook has been modified.
Adding CP Playbook Last Modified Days is a simple way to help Users quickly understand the last time they worked on their Playbook. Knowing this can help Users keep deals on track and keep the Opportunity information fresh!
Note: Each Organization is unique, so there may be steps needed that are not represented here. If this is the case, please reach out to People.ai Technical Success here.
Create New 'CP Playbook Last Modified Days' Custom Field:
Go to the Gear icon in the top right > Setup > Object Manager > Opportunity > Fields & Relationships > New
Step 1. Choose the field type
Type: Formula
Next
Step 2. Choose output type
Field Label: CP Playbook Last Modified Days (Or name it as you like)
Field Name will auto-fill as CP_Playbook_Last_Modified_Days → change to: CPPlaybookLastModifiedDays
Formula Return Type: Number
Options: Decimal Places: 0

Step 3. Enter Formula
Select the Simple Formula tab
Select Field Type: Opportunity
Insert Field: -- Insert Merge Field --
In the formula field, enter: TODAY() - DATEVALUE ( TSPC__CPDeal__r.TSPC__ModStampPB__c )
Click the 'Check Syntax' button to ensure there are no errors

Step 4. Establish field-level security
Select the needed Field Level Security for Profile (To select All, click the 'Visible' box on the column header until all boxes are checked)
Set all selected to 'Read Only' or as desired.

Step 5. Add to page layouts
Add the field to desired page layouts

Add 'CP Playbook Last Modified Days' to the Opportunity Header
Step 1. Create (Or edit existing) New Compact view and assign:
From any open Opportunity click on the Gear icon > Edit Object > Compact Layouts
Select System Default
To create a new page:
Click on Clone
Or, find the page to which you would like to add the item.
Step 2: Compact Layout Edit
Label: Compact1 (or a name you choose)
Move the field you created MEDDIC Score % from Available to Selected
Click on Save
Step 3: Compact Layout Assignment
Return to the Compact Layouts list (From any open Opportunity click on the Gear icon > Edit Object > Compact Layouts)
Select Compact1 from the list
Click on Compact Layout Assignment
Click on Edit Assignment
Compact Layout to Use: Compact1
Select the Record Types on which you want to display the field.
All selected Record Types will be highlighted when assigned.
Click Save
Step 4: Confirm
Open any Opportunity using the Record Type you selected and view to confirm the field is present.
Alternatively, the highlights section of ‘Page Layout’ can be used, dependent on the current layout:
From any open Opportunity click on the Gear icon in the top right > Edit Object > Page Layouts
Select the desired Page Layout
From the Highlights Panel at the top of the page layout, hover over the Highlights Panel and select the wrench (spanner) icon on the right
In the pop-up window, select CP Playbook Last Modified Days from either the ‘Top field' or 'Bottom field’ menu (your choice)
Click OK
Click on Save in the top left to save the Page Layout
Click Save
Confirm
Open any Opportunity using the Record Type you selected and view to confirm the field is present.
Note: Salesforce will usually propagate the changes in a few minutes, but it can sometimes take an hour or more for the field to display on the Opportunity Header.
