Introduction

Document export functionality provides Users with a solution for exporting content to Microsoft Word (DOCX) and PowerPoint (PPTX) formats. It is designed to enhance productivity by producing editable files with these widely-used Microsoft Office applications. These files can later be imported to other tools like Google suite.

Document Export preserves original formatting and structure as defined in the template document while having access to provided datapoints, making it ideal for custom reports or presentations.

Prerequisites

Required Trusted URL

Add the required Trusted URL: https://*.people.ai

Trusted URL for Live Preview

The following prerequisite is optional but required in order to use Live Preview:

• For Live Preview:

  • Gear Icon > Quick Find search for ‘Trusted URLs’

  • Add the following trusted url:

    • https://view.officeapps.live.com

The endpoint https://view.officeapps.live.com must be added as Trusted URL with frame-src directive activated for Powerpoint or Word live previews.

Microsoft Live Preview

• Enable Microsoft Live preview if you choose (by default this feature is disabled).

  • ClosePlan Admin > General Tab > Document Export Options > Microsoft Document Export > Activate Enable Live Preview > Save Changes.

Out-of-the-box Template

• Included in the Package is a ready-made Powerpoint (PPTX) Template.

• Users may also create their own PPTX and DOCX document templates and upload them to a specific Account Plan or Opportunity ClosePlan Template version.

• DOCX Beta Feature Disclaimer

  • Export to DOCX feature is currently in beta and may undergo changes.

  • Functionality and performance are subject to modification based on user feedback and ongoing development.

  • Your understanding and input during this testing phase are greatly appreciated.

• Live Preview

  • Currently available only for documents smaller than 4MB.

Data Privacy

The data used to generate the output document is sent and processed on the People.ai side.

• The data is not shared with any third party.

• Data is not stored or retained in any way after processing is completed.

• If Microsoft Live Preview is enabled, the generated report that has been created in Salesforce will be temporarily accessible online for 2 minutes through a content distribution link.
