Installation: Insufficient Static Resources (5 megs) preventing installation

Issue:

During installation, it is possible that some larger and older Organizations will hit their limit of available Salesforce resources. The errors will usually only present themselves one at a time, so it is possible that you will need to resolve multiple issues in a single install.

Your company currently has exceeded its data storage limits including an extra overflow buffer. Per our terms and conditions, we cannot permit additional data creation within our system until your company first reduces its current data storage. Please contact your company's salesforce.com administrator to resolve this. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

2 (CPResources) Data Storage Limits Exceeded

Solution:
ClosePlan has only 2 resources and they are up-to-date, so the issues is most likely related to static resources.

If the Salesforce Org is or is close to exceeding organizational limits for Static resources, the likely cause is too many installed apps or limited available static resources.

You can check this in ’static resources' under Setup.

  • It should be sorted by size.

Please review the static resources and determine where space can be freed up.

Under Namespace Prefix some resource packages may not be in use. If so, these can be deleted.

NOTE:

ClosePlan includes only 2 static resources which contain up-to-date and limited use content.
Often, installed apps don’t have limiting behavior, thereby adding additional resources and keeping deprecated resources. This is not an issue with ClosePlan.

By freeing up about 6 megs, ClosePlan should install without issue.
